Step into a moment suspended in time, and get lost in an immersive art experience like no other.
TIME • RONE, a multi-sensory installation that explored the meaning of the everyday, has now concluded its successful season at AGWA’s Centenary Galleries following a sell-out run in Melbourne. The exhibition, which featured expanded staging and a new room exclusive to Perth, invited visitors to walk, breathe, and live among remnants of mid-century Australia.
Throughout its run, TIME captivated audiences with its portrayal of decay and beauty, using peeling paint and cracked ceilings to symbolize the passage of time. Ghostly illusions and reflective surfaces blurred the lines between the past and future, giving life to faces that seemed to search for meaning across eternity.
Created by the renowned, multi-disciplinary artist Rone, TIME blended soundscape, mural, and installation to ask profound questions about what we leave behind and celebrate the often overlooked remnants of history. Though impermanent, the exhibition offered a unique opportunity to exist in the same moment as the forgotten echoes of the past, frozen in time.
With its season now concluded, TIME remains a powerful reflection on memory, decay, and the beauty in between.

Emerging from the fertile underground street art scene in Melbourne, Rone has carved a distinct niche for himself, drawing acclaim and growing audiences to his large-scale installations that breathe life into forgotten rooms, buildings and eras.
